Recent years have seen a substantial increase in scholarship focused on Indian Buddhist philosophy. This book was written to be suitable for use in undergraduate offerings in a philosophy department, and comparisons with similar or related concepts and theories in the Western tradition should make sense in that context, for two reasons.
